Here's a thing. Blaklion used to be owned by the geezer who owns The Black Lion.

I'm on Houblon as well, Ex, fingers crossed. Also backing Saphir Du Rheu as the classiest horse in the race.

Most interested in Zarkandar today going handicapping again after a long time with a nice 5lb claim.

Re: The National...
Normally go for one of the favourites and a bit of an outsider who may give a run for the money.

One for Arthur 16/1

Raz De Maree 40/1
This one finished second just beaten by Native River in the Welsh National and has won a couple Irish "nationals", so no stamina doubts. Likes good ground. Last run was over hurdles and have seen trainers do this before as a prep to the big race and have run well. Changed trainers not too long ago and horse is running better.
Only doubts is the horses age, 12, but it does not look a particularly classy field this year.

Changed me mind at last mo and kicked the last samurai into touch.... just think he will be weighted out of it... selections... all e/w (6 places 1/4 odds)

Blaklion 25/1
Saphir du Rhea 20/1
Wonderful Charm 33/1

Good luck all... hope for a great race and all jocks and 'orse's come back safe and sound.

Re: The National...
I'm not a betting person but I want to back 4 horses today. Two outsiders and two "favourites". Would I be better putting a bet on each singulary to maximise returns should any of them come in or have them all ew.

Re: The National...
Men against boys. Cannot see past More of that ew and have had a good bet on it. Also done a couple of small ew bets on Le Mercurey and Highland Lodge plus the reverse forecasts just in case. What could possibly go wrong? But if something does have done Highland Fling in the last as his couple of wins during cheltenham week made what would have been a disastrous week, a tolerable one. Hope they all get round safely and good luck to everyone having a bet today.
